SCQF Level 6 Scottish Certificate for Personal License Holders
Full Day Course

The SCPLH is a full day course with a multiple-choice exam. The qualification would suit anyone wishing to gain employment in a licensed establishment. It is not a mandatory qualification however career prospects may be increased by having this qualification.

 

The qualification consists of 3 mandatory units to the Scottish Personal Licence Holder and candidates will be provided with a clear understanding of the framework of law and regulations which underpin the responsibilities of the personal licence holder.

 

Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements however entrants must be aged 18+.

Qualification Gained: The qualification gained through this course is a SQA L2 Award for Personal License Holders.

Course Breakdown:
These are the three mandatory units in this course:
- Unit 1 Introduction to Licensing
- Unit 2 Responsible Operation of Licensed Premises
- Unit 3 Effects of irresponsible operation of Licensed Premises on Society and Health.

Two out of the three units are examined and you will gain a qualification by attending a 1 day training course. You will also be asked to sit a multiple-choice examination covering units 2 and 3.
