SCQF Level 7 PDA in Health and Social Care (Administration of Medication)
12 Weeks

This course has been designed to meet the requirements of social service workers who are in a job role where they assist in or administer medication to individuals. Candidates should be actively involved in the administration of medication to individuals as part of their job role and function.

It provides knowledge and skills to those who administer medicine, and also provides CPD opportunities for those who have to demonstrate that they have updated and maintained their practice. The qualification has links to SVQs in Health and Social Care at levels 3 and 4

Entry Requirements: It is recommended that individuals are working within a health and social care setting. Individuals should have appropriate experience within the health and social care sector and have good communication skills. This could be evidenced by a qualification as SCQF Level 5 or above.

The skills to undertake in this course could also be demonstrated through an employer’s reference or the process of application and interview in the absence of certificated learning. The qualification is most suited to meet the requirement individuals who are in a job role where they assist or administer medication to individuals.

Qualification Gained: Qualification gained through this course is an 16 SCQF Credit Points.
