SQA Scottish Certificate for Safe Sale and Service of Alcohol
3 Hour Course

This licensing qualification is based on the training framework drawn up by the National Licensing Forum for persons involved in the on and off sales sector.  It was developed to ensure compliance with the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.


The qualification involves pre-course study and a half day training course. This is supported by a handbook for each candidate.  On completion of the training day you will be asked to complete a multiple choice question and examination which is marked out of 25.  You must get at least 18 out of 25 to pass the course.

Qualification Gained: The qualification gained through this course is SQA SCSSSA.

Entry Requirements: The entry requirements for this course is that applicants must be at least 18.
