Ladder Safety

Duration: 3 Hours

Qualification: HSC Futures Ltd Certificate

Falls from height are a leading cause of serious and fatal injuries in the workplace.  The objective of this module is for you to understand how to stay safe when using a ladder.

The goals of this training are to help you:

  • manage risk by educating you on how to select and use the most appropriate piece of equipment when working at height

  • understand how to anticipate the risks of fall hazards in your workplace

  • understand the Health & Safety Executives short duration and low-level safety requirements when working at height


Safe Working at Height

Duration: 1 Day

Qualification: HSC Futures Ltd Certificate

This is a 1 day course and would be beneficial to anyone undertaking a job role where they might be required to work at height. This gives them an understanding of safety for themselves and individuals working or walking below them. 


Construction Training for CSCS Card: REHIS Elementary Health and Safety, CITB HS&E Touch Screen Test plus CSCS Card application.

Duration: 2 Days

Qualification: REHIS Elementary Health & Safety and CITB

These two qualifications are ideal for people who want to work in a construction environment and need to apply for a Green Labourers CSCS Card.

Candidates must complete both elements and pass both assessments for the card application to be processed.

The REHIS Elementary Health & Safety course is delivered by Health & Safety professionals and the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Touch Screen Test is administered at a Pearson Vue Test Centre.

Entry Requirements: Candidates must have a basic level of English, a National Insurance Number and valid photographic ID to attend the course and sit the assessments.

Fire Safety Awareness

Duration: 1/2 Day

Qualification: HSC Futures Ltd Certificate

This 1/2 hour course ensures candidates have an understanding of fire safety.  The course allows candidates to receive the necessary training in fire safety so they have the knowledge to act safely and responsibly should the need arise.

 On completion of the course the candidate will have a clear understanding of fire safety in the context of their workplace.


REHIS Elementary Health and Safety (SCQF L5 - 1 credit)

The REHIS Safe Manual Handling Awareness Course is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training


Manual Handling

Duration: 1/2 Day

Qualification: HSC Futures Ltd Certificate

This course is to train staff in the safest aspects of manual handling in the work place and to understand risks.  Candidates should include anyone who carries out manual handling tasks as part of their work role.

 

REHIS Manual Handling Awareness

Duration: 1/2 Day

Qualification: REHIS Manual Handling Awareness Certificate of Attendance

REHIS Safe Manual Handling Awareness Course is intended as an introduction to moving and handling activities for those starting work, returning to work or who need specific training in manual handling, as well as being a suitable qualification for refresher training.

 

REHIS Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)

Duration: 1 Day

Qualification: REHIS Elementary Health & Safety

This one day module is an abbreviated First Aid Course covering the most important situations and injuries. The course is aimed at anyone who works in a job role which requires a first aid qualification or someone who just wishes to be generally qualified in the area of First Aid.
